Shady Grove Metro Parking Garage II

This new 2,140 space garage is the largest ever built in Montgomery County and will increase available parking by 35%, to a total of 5,865 spaces.

• Parking at the Garage II (new north garage) costs $2.25 a day, the same as in most other Metro garages and lots.

• Use the ‘SmarTrip’ card at the new garage, parking permits or cash.

• Rates at Shady Grove Metro Parking Garage I (south garage) have dropped to $2.25, to match rates at the new Metro-owned garage. During the garage construction, special arrangements were made to accommodate displaced parkers, by providing free parking and free express bus service. With the opening of the new garage, these special accommodations will end.

            New Metrobus Service to the Maryland Route 124 Park and Ride Lot:

  Ride On Bus Service Changes will go into effect regarding :

• Operate the express Route 77 bus from the Germantown Transit Center to the Shady Grove Metro Station every 15 minutes during rush hours.

On May 19, 2003 Ride On Bus Service Changes will go into effect regarding :

• Operate the Route 124 bus service every 30 minutes ONLY during rush hours.
• The Route 124 bus service will also begin charging a fare of $1.10 each way.
